Tax partner Michael Bussa has been named the national leader for the Global Reward Services (GRS) practice of KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm.

Bussa brings to his new position more than 30 years’ experience advising organizations on the structuring, implementation, and tax and regulatory compliance of their global reward programs.

“Globalization, technological advances, regulatory changes, the future of retirement, the shifting landscape of health care – all these and other trends are posing new challenges for companies and their HR and tax departments,” Bussa said. “With teams of experienced professionals across the U.S. and around the globe in KPMG International’s member firms, and with strategic growth on the horizon, KPMG is well positioned to provide companies of all types and sizes with a single, integrated team of KPMG and member firm professionals that can work with them as they attract, retain, motivate, and efficiently reward their employees.”

“Michael Bussa is the ideal choice to lead our GRS practice, especially as U.S. and multinational companies adapt to the near- and longer-term impacts of U.S. and international tax reform on employees,” said Jeffrey C. LeSage, Americas Vice Chairman – Tax. “We’re confident that his experience and vision will help his team anticipate outcomes and identify trends, so they can work as trusted advisors to our clients on this journey.”

The GRS practice is a part of the Global Mobility Services service line in KPMG’s Tax practice. It combines proprietary technology, such as Global Equity Tracker, and data & analytics with deep regulatory and corporate experience across the compensation and benefits, mobility, and tax and regulatory compliance landscape to deliver the real-time insight that company leaders need in order to effectively strengthen their reward programs.
