FATCA filing instructions include no substantive updates

An updated version of the FATCA filing instructions includes no substantive updates. 

An updated version of the common reporting standard (CRS) filing instructions includes the following changes:

  • International securities identification number (ISIN) format must only include capital letters and numbers.
  • A new warning was added for the tax identification number (TIN) for residents of Guernsey and Colombia.
  • The TIN control for residents of Brazil, Belize and Singapore was modified.
