Poland: Legislation on family foundations passed by lower house of Parliament

The bill on family foundations on 14 December 2022 was passed by the lower house of the Polish Parliament (Sejm) and will now be sent to the upper house of Parliament. The draft legislation was published in November 2022. Read TaxNewsFlash

The goal is to introduce a new category of entities into the Polish regulatory framework (i.e., family foundations) the task of which will be to achieve the goals set by the founder, based on the property owned, which can be secured against loss.

New regulations on family foundations would become effective three months after promulgation.
