Temporary suspension of fuel tax (Alberta)

Alberta Bill 2, which received Royal Assent on 15 December 2022, includes tax-related measures that will:

  • Resume indexing the individual (personal) income tax system for inflation retroactive to the 2022 tax year
  • Suspend the provincial 13-cent-per-litre tax on gasoline and diesel from January to June 2023
