United States: IRS updates “public key” for FATCA filing

The IRS issued a reminder that public/private key pairs used for encryption for FATCA filings have an expiration date, and that the IRS public key for FATCA filing will expire soon.

According to the IRS transmittal message (28 September 2022), the IRS will replace the existing key on 14 October 2022.

After 14 October 2022, to file FATCA reports, a new public key will need to be downloaded from International Data Exchange Services (IDES).
