A credit procedure confirmation process for salary and wage withholding

The Institute of the National Workers' Housing Fund (Infonavit) implemented a credit procedure confirmation process—one that replaces the withholding notice in paper format and allows for electronic notification of a “credit discount,” effective 12 July 2022.

Under this process, a worker is to provide notice to the employer so that the Infonavit business portal can be accessed and the information provided can be confirmed. A confirmation acknowledgement will be generated, and once that is formally notarized, the employer must download the “discount” withholding notice and at that point is to withhold the monthly financing payment from the employee’s salary.

Companies not yet registered with the Infonavit business portal have six months to complete the transition process. During this period, they may continue with the hardcopy of the signed withholding notice.
