The government issued notifications of measures to give effect to recommendations made by the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council following their 28-29 June 2022 meeting. Read TaxNewsFlash

The measures—effective 5 July 2022, unless otherwise provided—are focused on trade facilitation and streamlining GST compliance, and specifically relate to the following issues:

  • Revocation of suspension of registration
  • Manner of determination of input tax credit and reversal thereof
  • Declaration in tax invoice
  • Payment of tax
  • Interest
  • Refunds
  • Format of various forms
