Germany’s federal central tax office (BZSt) released guidance (CRS Newsletter 05/2022) with updated information concerning the common reporting standard (CRS) regime.

The updated information concerns:

  • Final country exchange list for 2022
  • Updated list of countries with unilateral exchange relationship with Germany
  • Update to exchange status for Russia
  • Updated Federal Ministry of Finance (BMF) letter containing amendments related to the FATCA and CRS regimes
