The European Commission today announced an agreement of the European Council to adopt a sixth package of restrictive measures against Russia in response to the situation in Ukraine. The package also imposes further sanctions against Belarus.
According to today’s EC release, the measures include a complete import ban on all Russian “seaborne” crude oil and petroleum products, and four other elements:
- Oil transport services
- Financial and business services measures
- Broadcasting suspension
- Export restrictions
