Barbados: AEOI portal for 2021 submissions open until 31 August 2022

The Barbados Revenue Authority issued an announcement to all Barbados financial institutions stating that the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) web portal for 2021 submissions opened on 1 June 2022 and will be available until 31 August 2022 to facilitate FATCA and common reporting standard (CRS) filings.

Submissions after 31 August 2022 may incur penalties.

Financial institutions are reminded to submit reports for the particular period they operated, which might be the full reporting year or part thereof.

Additionally, financial institutions requesting for deregistration from the AEOI web portal must:

  • Submit the request in writing on the company’s letterhead, together with the necessary documentation
  • Submit all outstanding reports before requesting for deregistration
