Measures to simplify and clarify taxpayer access to Slovak financial administration portal

The tax administration announced measures to simplify and clarify taxpayer access to the Slovak financial administration portal—that is, the portal that can be used to verify taxpayer identification for purposes of electronic communications.

The tax administration’s project to cancel duplicate accounts is related to accounts that have not been used since 1 January 2020. Under this process, a notification will be automatically sent to the identified taxpayers; no further action is required of the taxpayers. A portal account can be cancelled based on:

  • The last login
  • The account with the lowest value related to the login name number

Users (i.e., taxpayers) will receive information about which accounts will be retained and that will continue to be used for purposes of electronic communications with the tax administration. Removal of the duplicate accounts will not affect a taxpayer’s power of attorney, other authorizations or the filing and signing of documents.
