Approaching due dates, related fees for certain environmental reports

The due dates for the following environmental reports for 2021 and related fees are approaching:

  • Reports for the national database on emissions of greenhouse gases and other substances for 2021 are due 28 February 2022. In principle, the applicable provisions do not provide for any sanctions for failure to submit a report or for submitting an incomplete report. Nevertheless, companies may be required to present the report during an inspection, and the information provided in report is used to fix the amount of charges for using the environment.
    • In principle, fees to be paid for using the environment must be settled by 31 March 2022.
  • Reports on products, packaging, and waste management for 2021 are due 15 March 2022. Failure to timely submit the report can result in a penalty.
    • The product fee on packaging for 2021 must be paid by 15 March 2022. 
  • Reports on waste for 2021 are due 15 March 2022. Failure to timely submit the report can result in a penalty.
