Changes to the rules concerning corporate registrations

Legislation—the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2021—introduces changes to the rules concerning corporate registrations.

The legislative amendments, in part, concern:

  • Information required to be included in the “Memorandum of Association”
  • The introduction of a requirement to maintain a new register of officers and shareholders
  • Additional requirements for the appointment and qualification of directors
  • Additional authorities and duties of the registrar
