Tax relief measures continue to be provided for certain industries or sectors
Tax relief measures continue to be provided for certain industries or sectors that have encountered challenges from the ongoing situation presented by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Announcement letter No. 01 BKP (29 June 2021) includes information about the ninth round of tax relief measures provided to major industry sectors—these include garment, airline, tourism, and transportation and logistics sectors.
The relief measures include three-month extensions (through September 2021) of direct monthly payments to workers and three-month extensions of certain temporary tax exemptions such as an exemption from the requirement for monthly payments of taxes by hotels and accommodation providers, of social security contributions, and of minimum tax by airlines.
