The Senate Finance Committee approved four nominees for key positions in the Treasury Department.

Senate Finance Committee approved four nominees for key positions in Treasury

The Senate Finance Committee today approved Lilly Batchelder, nominee for Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy.

The Assistant Secretary for Tax Policy is the senior advisor to the Treasury Secretary for analyzing, developing, and implementing federal tax policies and programs.  

The Finance Committee also approved three other nominees for key positions in the Treasury Department:

  • Ben Harris as Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy
  • Nellie Liang as Under Secretary for Domestic Finance
  • Jonathan Davidson as Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs

The next step is for confirmation vote by the full Senate (the date of which is unknown).
