FIRS now requires taxpayers to file corporate income tax returns and VAT returns
The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) now requires taxpayers to file corporate income tax returns and value added tax (VAT) returns via an e-filing platform.
The login details to access the e-filing platform are the same as those used for corporate tax clearance certificate applications. Taxpayers that do not have a login detail can contact their local tax office and provide the required information that will enable the FIRS to setup an account on the platform.
Most of the FIRS tax offices may no longer accept hardcopies of corporate income tax and VAT returns, except under “special circumstances.”
