Additional extensions of a variety of tax-related deadlines to 30 June 2021
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) announced additional extensions of a variety of tax-related deadlines to 30 June 2021 (previously extended to 30 April 2021) in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The extension applies with regard to the deadlines for orders of assessment or reassessment and for the issuance of notice for reopening an assessment, among other items.
The extension relief is provided amid the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic across the country.
