Canada: Reminder of application deadlines
Taxpayers are reminded of the deadlines to file applications for two programs that offer relief to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The subject programs are the Canada emergency rent subsidy (CERS) and the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS). The next deadline is 22 April 2021 for CEWS program (and this is the first application deadline for the CERS program).
Under these programs, taxpayers must submit, amend or increase their claim for a qualifying period no later than 180 days after the end of the period for both the CERS and CEWS programs. The upcoming deadlines are as follows:
