Canada: Provincial sales tax, carbon tax measures
Certain businesses may be affected by provincial sales tax (PST) changes in British Columbia.
The measures—effective 1 April 2021—include provisions requiring certain businesses located outside of British Columbia to collect PST on sales of goods to B.C. consumers as well as on certain carbonated beverages.
British Columbia is also amending its carbon tax rates effective 1 April 2021.
