Although the government has signaled that this year’s budget may largely focus on Canada's post-coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic economic recovery, specific details on what measures may be under consideration are unknown until the budget is released.

Other possible measures in the budget may further extend COVID-19 support programs (such as the Canada emergency wage subsidy (CEWS)) or could limit interest deductions for certain corporations and reduce taxes for qualifying businesses in the “green sector.”
