North Macedonia: Disclosure requirements
The North Macedonia register of ultimate beneficial owners (UBO) is effective as of 27 January 2021. Accordingly, subject entities must comply with the UBO disclosure requirement within three months.
Although there are certain exemptions from the UBO disclosure requirements, most entities must disclose information about their UBOs and the manner of controlling the entity. Non-compliance with the UBO disclosure requirement may result in financial sanctions and penalties.
