Mexico: Updated payroll portal
The tax administration (Servicio de Administración Tributaria—SAT) on 15 February 2021 announced an update to a payroll “portal” that can be accessed by both employers and employees alike.
The updated payroll portal allows the employer or employee to view the income tax for the year and to compare the amounts of income tax withheld and paid in different monthly periods. It also allows for access to information about the amount of per diems for employees. Other adjustments concern certain technical items (such as how error messages are displayed).
