Germany’s central tax office (BZSt) released a newsletter (FATCA Infobrief 01/2021) updating information under the FATCA regime that reflects:

  • Transmission of data for the 2020 reporting period must be submitted in full to the BZSt by 31 July 2021.
  • The test environment is now available for data transmission to all data senders.
  • A schema change will take place in the second half of the 2021 calendar year but will not affect the FATCA report submission for the 2020 reporting period.
