Tax developments in Bahrain include the following items:
- Bahrain has ratified the Multilateral Competent Authority Agreement regarding the exchange of country-by-country reports (MCAA CbC), according to an item published in the official gazette on 28 January 2021.
- An income tax treaty between Bahrain and Switzerland was published in the official gazette on 28 January 2021.
- The tax authority (National Bureau for Revenue) will continue to hold “virtual workshops” regarding the value added tax (VAT).
