Hungary: Updated FATCA and CRS filing instructions

Filing instructions have been updated for completing financial account information reporting under the FATCA regime and for the automatic exchange of financial account information (AEOI) under the common reporting standard (CRS) regime.

The FATCA-related changes include additional information regarding data submission and procedures for providing a taxpayer identification number (TIN) to the U.S. tax authority (IRS). Specifically, financial institutions may enter nine capital letters "A" in instances when there is a missing U.S. TIN, if the reporting agent is prepared to justify its absence.

The CRS-related changes include general information regarding data submission and an updated summary of the data provision content.
