Japan: Updated FAQs and relief regarding tax returns
Japan’s national tax agency updated information and a set of “frequently asked questions” (FAQS) regarding tax-related relief in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The updated information and FAQs concern:
- Tax returns filed for 2020
- Relief concerning tax return filing and tax payment processes
- A “grace period” for taxpayers encountering difficulty paying their taxes because of the economic situation caused by the pandemic
