KPMG LLP today announced that Matt Kramer has been named National Sector Leader, Consumer & Retail, effective immediately. Kramer succeeds Mark Schmeling who was recently named Advisory line of business leader – Commercial Markets.
Kramer has been with KPMG for 27 years, serving most recently as the Columbus office managing partner since 2014, and market hub managing partner for Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. He has spent the majority of his career in the Consumer & Retail industry, helping companies solve complex global business challenges and leveraging the depth of KPMG’s resources across Advisory, Tax and Audit.
Kramer places significant emphasis on KPMG’s people, culture and values, as well as on the firm’s inclusion & diversity and community initiatives. He is a culture champion and one of the early participants in KPMG’s Culture Partner program. Outside of KPMG, Kramer chairs the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio and is a mentoring coach for Handshake America. He participates in the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk and Go Red for Women; Meals on Wheels; Pelotonia; and KPMG’s Family for Literacy.

Kramer was admitted to KPMG’s partnership in 2004. He graduated from Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Accounting.
