Bermuda: CRS information reporting portal

An updated user guide for the information reporting portal under the common reporting standard (CRS) regime includes the following:

  • A section added on key updates and reminders
  • A clarification relating to an email address (to be used only for technical related queries) and updated required screen resolution
  • An updated section on an enrollment form related to trustee documented trusts (TDTs)
  • An updated section on reporting entity details after enrollment related to deactivating a reporting entity (for a deactivation request to be processed, all relevant filings must be exchanged with the partner jurisdictions)
  • An updated section regarding the details concerning a primary user
  • An updated “identification number” field when submitting a CRS filing via manual entry
  • An updated section on “nil” CRS file submission (both the general information section and reporting financial institution information section are mandatory and not to be submitted if the filing is not complete)
  • Updated circumstances to permit accounts to be reported as undocumented (under the section on submitting a domestic CRS filing with undocumented accounts)
