British Virgin Islands: FATCA, CRS deadlines extended
The tax authority of the British Virgin Islands announced that the reporting deadlines for filing 2019 FATCA and common reporting standard (CRS) returns have been further extended to 30 September 2020.
The FATCA and CRS deadlines were previously extended in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Read TaxNewsFlash
The new deadline extensions were granted because the BVI financial account reporting system (BVIFARS) was temporarily offline, and was back online beginning 1 September 2020. Thus, additional time has been granted for filing FATCA and CRS returns for 2019.
