New IRS address for vehicle section 30B certifications
Notice 2020-63—appearing in the Internal Revenue Bulletin (IRB) 2020-35 (dated Monday, August 24, 2020)—provides a new address for vehicle manufacturers, or domestic distributors for foreign vehicle manufacturers, to send vehicle certifications and quarterly reports for purposes of the credit under section 30B.

Notice 2020-63 concerns certification and reporting for purposes of the fuel cell motor vehicle under section 30B(a)(1) that was extended by the “Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2020” (Pub. L. No. 116-94) for qualified vehicles acquired after December 31, 2017, and before January 1, 2021.
