Mexico: FATCA and CRS filing deadlines extended

The Mexican tax authority in late July 2020 extended the FATCA and common reporting standard (CRS) filing deadlines to 7 December 2020 (from 15 August 2020). The extensions for the 2019 reporting period are provided as relief in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The extensions also apply to the submission of “nil” reports, third-party providers, and reporting financial institution tax ID registration.
