Cambodia: Relief measures to support tourism sector
The government provided various relief measures to support the tourism industry and to mitigate the economic impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The relief measures include several tax breaks and tax exemptions in some instances as well as economic stimulus measures that affect the price of specific products (for instance, gas and electricity prices).
The government, however, has not suspended tax inspections, and these will still be conducted to determine compliance with the tax measures. A new joint annual inspection is also being launched so that tax inspectors from the provinces and certain designated ministries are to be involved at the same time.
