The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has launched a new application portal for tax clearance certificates.
The prior tax clearance certificate application portal has been decommissioned. Most taxpayers were issued restricted six-month tax clearance certificates earlier in the year, and these will expire by 30 June 2020. Consequently, taxpayers may need to update their information with the FIRS to allow for a smooth transition to the new portal and to ease of the processing of tax clearance certificates, next year.
