Mexico: Updated FAQs under FATCA and CRS regimes

The Mexican tax authority updated a set of “frequently asked questions” (FAQs) for FATCA and common reporting standard (CRS) regimes.

The FAQs include updates concerning the:

  • Procedure to follow for a lost password that was provided while requesting a certificate
  • Method to ascertain the validity of certificates
  • Information on the public key used for preparation of files in the testing and production environment
  • Information on generic testing certificates
  • Information on production certificates for the channel of web service communication
  • Dates for the testing environment

The tax authority also released an updated calendar of AEOI activities for 2020, and updated FATCA and CRS technical guidelines.
