East Africa: 2020-2021 budgets
The Finance Ministers of the East African Community (EAC) member countries of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania presented their budgets for 2020-2021.
Rwanda did not release its budget with the other EAC member countries.
The budgets (presented 11 June 2020) generally reflect measures announced in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and include stimulus packages and social safety net programs. The budgets also reflect proposals for tax and customs measures including certain revenue raising and expenditure provisions.
