China: AEOI portal for CRS reports
China’s tax authorities in May 2020 announced that the AEOI portal will be available for the submission of common reporting standard (CRS) reports from 1 August 2020 to 30 September 2020.
Additionally, the annual CRS compliance status report submission deadline has been extended to 31 October 2020.
According to information from the tax authorities, the accuracy of information submitted by financial institutions regarding the taxpayer identification number (TIN), the English name, and the English address of account holders will be checked stringently. Therefore, financial institutions are advised to submit accurate content.
