The Department for International Tax Cooperation (DITC) of the Cayman Islands on 8 May 2020 issued a set of “frequently asked questions” (FAQs) related to the common reporting standard (CRS) compliance form.

  • Deadline for submission of CRS compliance form
  • Filing procedure and obligations regarding currency reporting
  • Requirement for all registered financial institutions to complete the form annually—except investment managers and advisers that confirmed on registration that they have no financial accounts
  • Consequences for failure to submit the CRS compliance form by the deadline
