The government in Thailand continues to respond to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic with tax and economic relief.

  • Extensions of the corporate income tax return filing deadline and the due date for filing transfer pricing reports
  • Extension of audited financial statement submission dates for certain entities
  • Extension of return filing deadlines (applies to all business operators) with regard to value added tax (VAT), withholding tax, and stamp tax
  • Reduction of withholding tax rates
  • Reduction of social security fund contribution rates for employers and employees (reduced for three months)
  • Draft tax relief measures for small to mid-size enterprises (SMEs)
  • Tax measures to support donations made to charitable organizations including those involved in providing health care
