Among the tax relief provisions in the legislation are the following items:

  • Extensions of time to make payments of direct tax arising during the period from 31 March 2020 to 30 June 2020, without additions to tax if paid on or before 30 June 2020 (similar relief is provided with regard to indirect taxes)
  • Additional time to comply with requirements when the specified time for the action falls during the period 20 March 2020 to 29 June 2020 (or after 29 June 2020, if the government has provided notice of additional time)
