Canada: Training expense reimbursement program for employers in Quebec (COVID-19)
Canada: Training expense reimbursement program
The Quebec government on 6 April 2020 announced that it will reimburse up to $100,000* of an employer’s eligible training expenses when the employer’s normal operations have been disrupted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The reimbursement is available under a new concerted actions program for the maintenance of employment.
To qualify, employers must have been affected by COVID-19 including the suspension of their normal operations, a decline or increase in operations, or diversification of their activity.
The program is effective beginning 6 April 2020 and will end either on 30 September 2020, or when the program’s $100 million budget is exhausted.
