Canada: Corporate tax returns, deadline in Alberta

The Alberta government has extended the due date for the Alberta corporate income tax return (AT1) to 1 June 2020 for all returns originally due after 18 March 2020 and before 1 June 2020.

This relief effectively harmonizes Alberta’s filing deadline with Canada’s recently announced federal filing extension for T2 corporate income tax returns.

Previously, Alberta announced that corporate income tax balances and instalment payments, originally due on or after 18 March 2020, would be deferred to 31 August 2020. Read TaxNewsFlash
