There have been the following updates to the UK’s income tax treaty network.

With the close of 2019:

  • The UK concluded an income tax treaty with Colombia.
  • The income tax treaty between the UK and Israel entered into force.
  • The synthesised texts of the Multilateral Instrument (MLI) with other jurisdictions including Canada, India, and Luxembourg were published.
  • The Protocol to amend the income tax treaty with Ukraine entered into force.

In 2020, there are treaty-related developments concerning the UK tax treaties with Belgium and with the Netherlands (publication of synthesised texts of the tax treaties reflecting the changes made by the MLI).
