Taiwan: Updated CRS reporting guidance

The tax authority of Taiwan announced that financial institutions must report all financial account information through the common reporting standard (CRS) financial institution portal between 1 June 2020 and 30 June 2020.

Financial institutions can prepare financial account information by referring to the XML schema user guide, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and the off-line preparation tool in the CRS portal.

Additionally, reporting financial institutions and their agencies or agents can begin registering accounts from 1 March 2020. Reporting financial institutions can also upload and report test data in March and April.
