Greece: Tax measures in decrees, coronavirus

The employment-related measures are included in two legislative decrees as guidance providing relief in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

There are measures that apply to both companies with operations having been suspended by virtue of an order from the government as well as, companies that continue their business operations.

Tax measures included in the legislative decrees provide that employees of certain companies are being allowed €800, that will be tax-free and not subject to seizure or levy for any existing tax debts.

Another tax-related measure suspends the requirement for certain employers to make instalments of tax and social security payments.
