Cambodia: Issuance of certificates of occupancy
The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction issued guidance—Prakas No. 177 (6 December 2019)—concerning the formalities and procedures for certificates of occupancy concerning construction built before the Construction Law.
The scope of the guidance applies to all types of construction requiring construction permits and construction already built before the 2 November 2019 effective date of the Construction Law. The guidance includes provisions regarding:
- Construction built without a construction permit
- Construction built not in compliance with its construction permit
- Construction built with a construction permit, but there is no compliance certificate or permit on the closing of the construction site
