Malaysia: Tax provisions in enacted legislation

Legislation containing tax provisions—the Finance Act 2019, Income Tax (Amendment) Act 2019 and the Petroleum (Income Tax) (Amendment) Act 2019—were published in the official gazette on 31 December 2019.

There were no changes to the final versions as published from the amended Finance Bill 2019, Income Tax (Amendment) Bill 2019 and Petroleum (Income Tax) (Amendment) Bill 2019.

The effective date of the legislation is 1 January 2020.
