IRS new private delivery/express mail address

The IRS today issued a release announcing a new private delivery/express mail address for exempt organizations submissions (i.e., Forms 1023, 1024, 1024A, 1028, 8940 and group exemption requests).

As noted in an IRS transmittal message, the address for private delivery or express mail for Forms 1023, 1024, 1024A, 1028, 8940, and group exemption requests is:

Internal Revenue Service
Mail Stop 31A: Team 105
7940 Kentucky Drive
Florence, KY 41042

The IRS stated that the post office box address (P.O. Box 12192, Covington, KY 41012-0192) for regular mail remains the same.

Lastly, today’s IRS release states that if an organization recently submitted an item to another address, it will be forwarded. The IRS stated that the organization does not have to resubmit the item.
