Hungary: Real-time invoice data reporting

A new requirement for “real-time” invoice data reporting will be effective beginning 1 April 2020.

Under the new rules, taxpayers will be required to comply with new communication and reporting formats and will be required to submit more data including value added tax (VAT) information.

“Version 2.0” of the real-time reporting system represents a major upgrade rolled out by the tax authority. New requirements are being introduced regarding both the format of communication with the computer servers of the tax authority and the format and content of reportable invoice data.
