Switzerland: Financial account information exchanges

Switzerland will exchange financial account information under the automatic exchange of information (AEOI) provisions with 33 jurisdictions beginning in September 2019.

The Swiss Federal Council in August 2019 was informed of the results of a consultation process regarding the standard-compliant implementation of AEOI with 33 partner jurisdictions. The consultation was conducted by committees of both parliamentary chambers regarding the exchange of financial data to certain partner states. On the basis of the committees’ actions, Switzerland will exchange financial account information with these reviewed partner jurisdictions for the first time in September 2019.
