KPMG's Dallas Office

Community information

KPMG has offices in Dallas and Fort Worth and is proud to work with a variety of companies in and around the area. The Dallas office opened its doors in 1915. Today, it is one of the oldest and largest professional services firms in the city with over 140 partners, principals, and managing directors, and more than 1,500 professionals. Our local business unit (BU) is headquartered in Dallas and also serves Fort Worth, Arkansas, Oklahoma City, and Tulsa.

The strong economy, skilled labor force, low cost of living, and the absence of corporate and personal income taxes have given DFW one of the fastest growing populations in the United States. It is one of the top metropolitan areas in the country for business expansions and relocations. Corporate location authorities, such as Site Selection and Area Development magazines, and CNBC, have named Texas the “Top State for Doing Business.” According to the Dallas Regional Chamber, Texas has added more jobs than the other 49 states combined over the past five years, with Dallas and Fort Worth being key contributors to this growth.
The City of Dallas owns and operates Dallas Love Field Airport just seven miles northwest of the downtown central business district. The Metroplex is also home to the world’s first fully industrial airport, Fort Worth Alliance Airport. In addition, the region contains many roads and rail lines that simplify travel and the distribution of products across the state and around the country.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) operates buses, light rail, and high-occupancy vehicle lanes in Dallas and 12 of its suburbs. The Trinity Railway Express (TRE) is a commuter rail line established by an interlocal agreement between DART and the Fort Worth Transportation Authority.

Dallas and its suburbs have one of the highest concentrations of corporate headquarters in the United States. The Metroplex also contains the largest Information Technology industry base in the state, with a large number of corporate IT projects and the presence of numerous electronics, computing and telecommunication firms in and around Dallas.
